Where’s the reward in all this?

Have you asked yourself that?  Someone has, I am sure.

Here it is.  It’s a little something for you, and the one in your life who carries the heavy IBOL boxes to the mailroom and squashes bugs sometimes, and even for the kitteh — because really, if you’re eating it, it must be good, and if it’s good, it was actually put on this earth for the cat.

So, yep — here it is.  It’ll leave you with that warm feeling inside, like you’d just done something awesome that only you know about.  Something awesome, when no one else was even looking.

This is just one more small way I can say thank you.  Thank you for all the kind words.  Thank you for the great stories, and the heartwarming tales from your lives.  Thanks for the bundles, and the emails, and the notes and the pictures on the sides of the boxes.  Thank you for helping to make IBOL what it is — not a project but an effort.

I’m feeling the love!! Thanks for saying thanks, but we are the ones who need to thank you for doing what you can to make a bad situation better.

Hey there, just letting you know 2 bundles being sent Wednesday from me. Also 2 others from more in the “Bat Cave” Our guild is the Batty Binders, so all things batty come from and to us. Let you know as I know about others sent.
More boxing to do then maybe some ice cream to celebrate.

Feeling the love – spreading the love. Spreading the word too, but it IS the quiet warm feeling deep inside that we can carry around with us that makes it special. Each of us, involved in the effort by sending the bundles or tallying the bundles or opening the bundles or delivering the bundles, is making a difference. Carry on – it’s awesome, and awe-inspiring. From Ontario, Canada.

Ooooo – just saw the recipe. How did I miss it the first time? Thank you – I’ll be trying this very soon. I think a certain daughter’s 18th birthday party might be the perfect occasion! Thank you IBOL Guy and family.

Thank you for the chocolate sauce recipe. I’ll never turn down chocolate. 😉

But what’s in it for me really?

Knowing that someone is (hopefully) excitedly unwrapping my bundle and oohing and aahing over the contents – feeling the way I feel when I’m in a fabric store – is what’s in it for me.

The “chocolate sauce” on the (ice cream) cake would be photos of the above. Seeing a woman holding a bundle with a smile on her face. 🙂

Of course, I understand that those aren’t easy to get.

I’m working on that. Chris and his crew have a plan for distributing the stuff, so when that happens, we’ll see if it pans out. Keep in mind, Chris’ mom is also an IBOLer, too, so he’s under a little bit of pressure to deliver!
